Iochroma cyaneum is an attractive evergreen shrub to 3m x 2m bearing dense clusters of tubular, purple flowers in Summer and Autumn with large bright green leaves. Prefers a sunny open position in moist well drained soils but will tolerate some shade. Fairly drought and frost hardy once established but summer water recommended in hot dry districts..
