Medium sized tree 8-15mx 5-12m. Flowering occurs from August to January and the flowers are cream-coloured to yellow or pink to brilliant red. Juvenile foliage dull greyish green and egg-shaped whilst adult leaves are the same shade of bluish green on both sides, lance-shaped or curved. Likes full sun or part shade in most well drained soils, tolerates poor soils, lime, salinity, coastal and dry conditions. Ideal for use as a screen or windbreak. Good street or park tree. Frost tolerant.
