Dracocephalum ruyschiana is a low growing shrub 20-60cm x 40cm. It has spikes of fragrant, hooded blue flowers in mid to late summer which are attractive to bees and butterflies Ideally suited to rock gardens and front of borders. Full sun or part shade in most soils and frost hardy to -30, so that shouldn’t be a problem here in Australia. Low water requirements but summer water recommended when hot and dry.
