Thalictrum flavum is an upright slender shrub growing to 1.5-1.8m x 45-60cm. It has attractive, lacy blue green foliage with cloud-like sprays of tiny lemon-yellow flowers in Summer which can be used as a cut flower. Ideal backdrop for perennial gardens. Grows in full sun or part shade in most soils. Frost tolerant but it does like moist soils so summer water is recommended in drier districts. Prune back after flowering finishes.
