Small shrub with spreading basal rosettes. Spikes of delicate mauve flowers reaching 60-90cm in Summer. Most well drained soils in full sun. Hard to find unusual sage from east Africa, Ethiopia to Zimbabwe. Dies back over winter and re-shoots in Spring.
