Russelia equisetiformis otherwise known as the Firecracker Plant is a graceful arching shrub growing 1-1.75m x 4m. In summer it abounds in sprays of neon red tubular flowers that may persist throughout the year. It grows in most soils but needs full sun to flower at its best. Ideal for spilling over walls and rocks. Can be pruned to maintain shape and promote flowering. Drought and coastal tolerant. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
