Easy to grow bulb with grass like leaves and stems bearing Crocus like flowers in winter and spring. The flowers are small and pale mauve to violet, with a greenish-yellow cup, a violet circle in the throat and greenish or mottled backs. Flower quickly from seed, usually within 1-2 years. Ideally suited for growing in rockeries and pots and containers. Good drainage required.
