Mallee to 4m x 2m sometimes growing as tall as 10m. Very attractive red flowers between November and April. Once thought to be extinct it was rediscovered in 2006 and is found only in a single population. Full sun in most well drained soils, preferring clay soils and dry conditions. Good street or park tree. Frost tolerant.
