Echinacea purpurea is an attractive small shrub to 50cm x 40cm providing a splash of colour in the summer garden. Flowering can begin in late Spring and continue on into early Autumn. Grown from seed flower colour is not known and can vary from dark pink, through light pink and into white. Grows in either full sun or part shade in most well drained soils. Drought hardy once established but summer water maybe required in hot dry districts. Winter dormant in cold districts.
