Dianthus Pinifolius is a rare and unusual dryland species, native to Turkey and the Balkans It grows into a small tight clump of needle like foliage with a very distinctive display of ruby-red, clustered flowers held high on 20 to 30cm wiry stems in summer. Best in full sun in very well drained soils. Drought and frost hardy.
