Description
A biennial plant. In its first year, this plant produces a rosette of lance shaped leaves. In the second year it sends up one or more erect flowering stems with squarish edges and a dense terminal cluster of bluish purple flowers, with further smaller clusters growing from the upper leaf axils. Frost and drought hardy they require well drained soils. Full sun or part shade in most soils. Collectors plant.
