Aquilegia are clump forming perennials with attractive fern like blue-green foliage. In spring and summer they abound with spikes of pendulous flowers. They grow in any fertile, well-drained soil and can be grown in full sun but semi-shade preferred. Although drought tolerant once established Summer water recommended in hot dry districts.
