Aquilegia are clump forming perennials with attractive fern like blue-green foliage. In spring and summer they abound with spikes of pendulous flowers. They grow in any fertile, well-drained soil and can be grown in full sun but semi-shade preferred. Although drought tolerant once established Summer water recommended in hot dry districts
Aquilegia longissima reaches 30cm – 1m in height with divided leaves and large yellow nodding flowers with huge spurs in spring and early summer. Winter dormant.
