Anigozanthos flavidus is a clumping plant to 1m wide with strap like leaves and spikes of flowers on tall stems reaching 1.5m in height. Flowers through spring and summer. Well drained soils in a sunny or partly shaded position. Good cut flower, suitable for pots. Summer water required in hot dry districts, especially when in flower. Grown from seed, flower colour can range from light pink to dark red. I have even seen some flower an interesting green and pink, the exact colour will not be know until they flower.
