Hakea rostrata is a variable rounded shrub 1-4m x 2-4m. It has rigid needle like foliage with a sharp point making it an ideal bird habitat. Massed white/cream flowers amongst the branches July to November. Most well drained soils in full sun, including alkaline soils. Tolerant of dry periods, wind and poor soils.
