Macropidia fuliginosa is a clumping plant growing 60cm-1.8m x 50cm wide with strap like leaves and spikes of black and green flowers in spring and summer. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage fresh flowers. Well drained soils in a sunny or partly shaded position. Suitable for pots. Summer water required in hot dry districts.
