Hakea strumosa is a dense shrub typically growing to a height of 0.6 to 1.5 m x 1–2 m wide . It has needle like grey green foliage and deep pink or red mildly scented flowers in axillary clusters along the upright branchlets from September to October. Requires well drained soils in full sun. Drought hardy and frost tolerant.
