Description
Hakea lorea ssp lorea is a gnarled shrub 1-5m high or a small tree to 10m with an open habit and slightly hanging branches. The trunk has thick corklike bark with many furrows and often contorted smaller branches. The long needle-like leaves are tough and thick. From April to September it has long spikes of flowers in either yellow white or green. Grows best in full sun in most well drained soils. Very drought tolerant once established.
