Description
Hakea epiglottis is shrub growing to 3m x 2-3m. It has rigid needle like foliage with a sharp point making it an ideal bird habitat. Massed white through to bright yellow flowers amongst the branches in Spring. Generally, plants are unisexual, with male plants having more flowers producing pollen but no fruits and female plants having fewer flowers that form fruits but no pollen. They grow in most well drained but moist soils in full sun. Frost hardy.
