Compact rounded shrub 2-6m x 2-3.5m with needle shaped foliage ideal as a bird refuge. It produces cream-white flowers from September to November. Full sun or part shade in well drained soils. Drought and frost tolerant. Hakea constablei is considered rare, ROTAP conservation code 2RCa, Briggs, Leigh and Hartley 1996.
