Description
Eremophila splendens is an erect open shrub which usually grows to less than 1 m. The branches and leaves are covered with a dense layer of glandular hairs mixed with longer, soft, simple hairs giving it an attractive grey, furry look. The leaves are arranged alternately along the branches, overlap each other, are elliptic to egg-shaped. Red to orange-red flowers appear from May to September. It performs best in full sun and only needs an occasional watering during a long dry spell and is very tolerant of frost.
