Description

Unusual shrub with a single vertical branch or a few branches to 2.5m high. The branches are densely covered with white hairs contrasting with the grey green leaves which have fewer hairs. The leaves are crowded and overlapping, and arranged spirally. The flower buds are orange-coloured but when open, the tube is bright pink to red or purplish. Flowering time is between October and December. Tough shrub for difficult areas. Grows in full sun/part shade in most soils. Tolerates drought, light frost and coastal conditions. Can be pruned after flowering to  encourage compact bushy shape.
