Daviesia ulicifolia is a rigid, openly-branched shrub that typically grows to a height of up to 2.5 m with spiny branchlets. The flowers, usually yellow or orange-yellow with a red ring surrounding a yellow centre, are arranged singly or in pairs, sometimes in groups of up to seven. Flowering occurs from August to October. Grows in full sun or part shade in well drained soils. Drought and frost tolerant once established.
