classified as “near threatened” under the Government of Queensland Nature Conservation Act (1992)
This is a fast growing, large shrub or tree to 2-6m x 2-3m making it ideal for screening or useful for a windbreak. The large cream, lemon or green bottle-brush flowers appear mainly in spring but will occur sporadically at other times. It has a weeping habit and new growth has an attractive burgundy tinge. Grows best in full sun in most soils. Drought and coastal tolerant but protect from frost when young. Makes a good street tree.
