Banksia spinulosa var collina is a dense, fine foliaged shrub. It reaches a size of 1.5 x 1.5m, smaller than the larger Bankisa spinulosa var spinulosa and has spikes of gold or gold with red styles. Flowers occur in the Autumn and Winter months. Its native range is from NSW to Queensland so is adaptable to a wide range of conditions including well drained clay soils and coastal exposure.
