Eucalyptus pileata is a small mallee growing between 3.5-8mmx 2-3m. It has smooth, greyish bark that is shed in long ribbons to reveal orange or yellow new bark. Flowering occurs from February to May or from September to October and the flowers are white. Grows in full sun or part shade in most well drained soils. Drought and frost hardy.
