Commonly called the Pineapple Sage it is a rounded shrub to 1.2-1.5m x 1.2×1.5m. Pale yellow green foliage and sprays of red flowers in Winter. Full sun or part shade in most well drained soils. In colder climates can become winter dormant, growing back from underground roots in Spring. Prune back after flowering. Attractive back drop for perennial borders. Likes additional Summer water.
