A small multi branched mallee growing more like a shrub to 2-4m x 2-3m with silvery grey foliage and large red flowers bursting from silvery gum nuts. The large gum nuts remain after the flowers have finished adding a different texture. Make sure this tree is planted where it will be seen as a focal point in your garden. Prefers full sun in well drained soils. Is drought and coastal hardy, sometimes frost tender when young.
