Description
Adenanthos macropodianus is an erect shrub usually growing to 1m but sometimes taller. It has soft grey-green or grey-blue foliage, consisting of closely packed, small, hairy leaves on pliable, hairy stems. Terminal flowers are pinky red and appear throughout the year. It is woolly both in appearance and feel, hence the common name “Woolly Bush”. It grows in full sun or part shade in most well drained soils. Drought tolerant once established, resistant to salt spray and moderately frost tolerant.
