Fast growing dense shrub to 80cm-1m x 60cm with scarlet red bells nodding their way through Spring and Summer and into Autumn. Penstemon are a great long flowering addition to any garden. They love full sun or part shade and will grow in most well drained soils. By regularly removing spent flower spikes you encourage new flowers to form and they will flower away all through the warmer months. Drought and frost tolerant once established we recommend summer water during those hot dry spells to keep them flowering at their peak. Prune back at the end of Autumn.
