Eucalyptus calycogona is a small to medium sized tree 4-6mx 4-6m with a dense rounded canopy of foliage to ground level. Young plants have dullish grey foliage but mature plants have glossy green foliage. It has smooth cream-coloured grey, pinkish, sometimes powdery bark and sometimes has rough bark near the base. Flowering occurs between May and November and the flowers are creamy white or sometimes pink. Grows in full sun or part shade in most well drained soils, tolerates poor infertile soils, lime, coastal and dry conditions. Ideal for use as a screen or windbreak.
