Acacia rupicola is an attractive upright shrub usually 1-2m x 1.5-2m with sharply pointed foliage. Massed pale yellow flowers between August and January with sporadic flowering at other times.  The shrub is recommended as an under storey plant that can be grown in a second line from the coast, plains or foot-slopes which fares well in dry full sun or shady locations or rocky areas. Well drained soils and both drought and moderate frost tolerant.
